OncoScan FFPE Express 2.0, the second-generation Affymetrix molecular inversion probe (MIP) technology, is enhanced by cancer researchers to enable them to mine valuable clinical data that has been locked away in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples. Designed in collaboration with the Stand Up To Cancer initiative, OncoScan FFPE Express 2.0 overcomes the challenge of analyzing DNA from FFPE tissues, going beyond limitations of standard array comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) methods to yield copy number, allelic ratio and somatic mutation data with only 75 nanograms of input DNA, the lowest sample tolerance available. In addition, it provides high-quality data, as demonstrated by greater than 92 percent pass rates across thousands of the most degraded and challenging FFPE samples.
