July 2018
SHARING OPTIONS:
FDNA recently announced that more than 100,000 patients had been evaluated with Face2Gene, AI-based technology that uses deep learning algorithms to search photos for facial descriptors and traits that could be indicative of genetic diseases. According to FDNA, it has one of the fastest-growing and most comprehensive genomic databases, with more than 70 percent of geneticists and more than 2,000 clinical, research and lab sites adding Face2Gene to their workflow and further expanding the database. The company reports that it is expecting this momentum to continue, estimating that it will evaluate more than 4,000 patients a month over the next few months.
