IntelliCell, Millipore ink distribution deal
November 2011
SHARING OPTIONS:

NEW YORK—Millipore and IntelliCell BioSciences recently signed an exclusive distribution and sale deal, under which IntelliCell will supply and sell Millipore 's guava flow cytometry system in the field of stromal vascular fraction. This agreement will provide support for the growth and development of IntelliCell's tissue processing centers during a time when demand is increasing for cells sourced from fatty tissue. Autologous adipose stem cells have been gaining popularity as potential therapeutics for several indications, and already are widely used in the aesthetics market in Europe and Asia. It is also being investigated for its potential in the treatment of congestive heart failure, orthopedic injuries, wound healing and arthritis. Dr. Steven Victor, chairman and CEO of  IntelliCell, said the agreement provides a significant advantage in setting the bar in the field of isolating stromal vascular fraction from fat.
