Human neural stem cell functional identification kit, R&D Systems

R&D Systems' new Human Neural Stem Cell Functional Identification Kit  is now available. Neural stem cells (NSCs) are capable of differentiating into multiple cell types including astrocytes, neurons and oligodendrocytes. During the isolation and expansion of NSCs, the status of stem cells is best evaluated functionally by measuring their ability to differentiate into multiple neural lineages. The Human Neural Stem Cell Functional Identification Kit contains specially formulated media supplements that can be used for the short-term maintenance, differentiation, and expansion of NSCs, and their induction into astrocyte, neuron, and oligodendrocyte lineages. An antibody panel consisting of anti-human Nestin, Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP), Neuron-specific beta-III Tubulin, and Oligodendrocyte Marker O4 are also included for the identification of neural precursors, astrocytes, neurons, and oligodendrocytes.
