Leica Biosystems seeks growth in Mass.
March 2013
SHARING OPTIONS:

NUSSLOCH, GermanyŚLeica Biosystems has announced plans to expand its Danvers, Mass.-based research and development facility by the end of 2013, though no details were released as to the number of employees that would be in residence. Leica Biosystems seeks to further cancer diagnostics by way of workflow solutions and automation.   "We are delighted to announce the opening of the Leica Biosystems R&D facility in Boston. Being in Massachusetts gives us the ability to collaborate closely with the pharmaceutical industry on a domestic level, and this was a major influence in choosing Boston as our U.S. R&D location. We are already seeing the benefit of our decision, and look forward to our second round of recruitment in 2013," said Dr. Matthias Weber, president of Leica Biosystems, in a statement.
