Omnicare Clinical Research taps Merge Healthcare for clinical trials
June 2011
SHARING OPTIONS:

CHICAGOŚMerge Healthcare Inc. recently announced that Omnicare Clinical Research will be working with Merge's clinical trial solutions in a major clinical trial. Omnicare has used the Merge EDC clinical trials applications in the past, and will now also implement Merge CIMS in its end-to-end solution for the image management of ophthalmology, oncology and cardiology clinical trials. Omnicare will pair the two programs to conduct a global colorectal cancer study for a leading pharmaceutical company that specializes in molecular diagnostics for oncology research. The trial will collect and review 2,750 exams from 550 patients at 40 sites over five years. The Merge CIMS will automate the full workflow of image submission, image storage within a vendor-neutral DICOM archive and image review and analysis, and can fully integrate with any EDC system to provide end-to-end visibility to all data in a trial.
