Qlucore receives funding for HCV consortium
October 2013
SHARING OPTIONS:

LUND, Sweden—Qlucore will receive more than $810,000 over three years thanks to an award by the European Commission's 7th Framework Program. The funding is part of a consortium project to develop mathematical and statistical algorithms to integrate data from multiple analytical platforms that focus on integrating genetic and proteomic data with clinic variables. The PoC-HCV consortium will seek to develop integrated genetic and protein biomarker tests for clinical research and the treatment and monitoring of HCV patients. The consortium includes Qlucore, Inserm (Institut Pasteur), Inserm Transfert, Epistem and Biosurfit.

"Personalized medicine, and in particular hepatitis C patients, will benefit from the project outcome. One of the primary objectives of the consortium is to provide predictive tests that will lead to improvements in the health of these patients, which will simultaneously reduce the costs of medical treatment," said Qlucore CEO Carl-Johan Ivarsson.
