DNA, RNA extraction kits focus of OEM agreement

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—ZyGEM Corp. Ltd. and Saudi Diagnostics Ltd. recently signed an OEM agreement for ZyGEM’s DNA and RNA extraction kits, under which ZyGEM will provide the kits to Saudi Diagnostics Ltd., which serves as the commercial arm of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, Saudi Arabia’s leading specialist hospital. The line of nucleic acid extraction kits include optimized formulations of proprietary enzymatic technologies that, through a single-tube process, provide complete extraction of DNA or RNA. Financial details were not disclosed.
 
“This OEM agreement is the most recent example of our ongoing strategy of partnering with innovative companies to bring the advantages of our accurate, fast and easy-to-use RNA and DNA extraction technologies to researchers worldwide,” Paul Kinnon, CEO of ZyGEM, said in a press release.
