HTG prepares to launch new miRNA assay
October 2018
SHARING OPTIONS:

TUCSON, Ariz.—HTG Molecular Diagnostics Inc. has introduced its new HTG EdgeSeq Mouse miRNA Whole Transcriptome Assay (WTA), which has an expected commercial launch in Q4 2018. This new assay is designed to be used with mouse disease models to aid in identifying and quantifying the expression of a variety of miRNAs in different sample types, including formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue. The assay’s probe content boasts 1,690 unique mouse miRNAs, including mouse viral miRNAs.

“We are excited to expand the HTG EdgeSeq assay portfolio to include an assay specific for profiling mouse microRNAs for labs using mouse models in translational medicine discovery, preclinical and toxicology studies. The assay is designed to provide researchers more molecular profiling tools for conducting pathway analysis using very small sample sizes,” said Mike Hrubiak, senior vice president of HTG’s Profiling Business Unit.
